In January 2017, the Faith, Hope, and Joy Foundation funded a medical clinic in a rural village in Nigeria. 2000 adults and 300 children were provided with medical treatment. Several of the children seen by our physicians were extremely ill related to the effects of Malaria. Our team was struck by the severity of the problem.
Malaria kills an average of 250,000 children a year in Nigeria. Malaria is a preventable and treatable mosquito-borne illness. It costs about $1 to treat a child infected with the deadly parasite. 1$ can save the life of a child! This year all funds raised at the Faith, Hope, and Joy's annual Kids Fair held at the International Magnet School (625 Chapel Rd. South Windsor, Connecticut) on May 20th from 11-3 will be used to help treat pediatric Malaria in Nigeria. Help us "Mash out Malaria" and join us for a fun day with the family!
