The Faith, Hope and Joy Foundation was founded by sisters Rachel Lorenzen and Jennifer Ross. Rachel has been a nursing leader in the community health arena for over a decade. Jennifer, having participated in humanitarian relief missions for years, is a Family Nurse Practitioner. Both sisters share a similar dream; to care for those who suffer from the effects of poverty.
Why is the symbol of the olive tree our logo? The olive tree has a unique ability to survive intensely harsh conditions. Their roots grow deep into the ground intertwining with the roots of other olive trees. Even when it is burned to the soil, these strong roots, interwoven within the community of olive trees, grow back and thrive.
We believe that if every person can see themselves as a root in an olive grove, then no matter what the world throws at us; earthquakes, hurricanes, floods, war, or poverty we as a society will prevail because of the bond we share. If every person can contribute just a little to their fellow man then our global community will always be strong.
The Faith, Hope, and Joy Foundation is a tax-exempt organization under the 501(c)(3) section of the IRS code for U.S. tax purposes.
